Hi! do you know what Lofi hip hop is? “Lofi Hip Hop” refers to a genre of music that mashes up traditional hip-hop and jazz elements to create an atmospheric, instrumental soundscape. Channels dedicated to hosting constant live streams featuring a score of different “Lofi Hip Hop” artists have become increasingly popular on YouTube, apparently for students looking for soothing music to study.It brings you the best in Chilled Hip Hop music, both lyrical and instrumental. The perfect music for studying, working & chilling out! As you can see the video above was from the ChilledCow channel which I started listening to this playlist when seeing anime girl doing her homework or study and it also comes with beats to relax/study and sleep/chill radio that plays 24/7 live stream. 

ChilledCow’s popular 24/7 live stream went down between July and October 2017, just a few months after the live stream started. The issue, like most things on YouTube, came down to copyright. When I heard about this news, I was sad because the anime girl has done doing her homework😂 . Well, as a fan of ChilledCow's channel, I'm very disappointed because sometimes when I doing assignments, hearing some chill music which mostly came from that channel.

ChilledCow originally used a GIF from Studio Ghibli’s Whisper of the Heart, which showed a young woman doing her homework. The GIF eventually led to ChilledCow’s channel receiving a copyright takedown request. When the channel returned months later, the character was replaced with a copyright-free version of a different woman that Dimitri could use without worrying about his account being hit by a company like Studio Ghibli.

It's not ChilledCow only, other Lofi hip hop channels, Chillhop Records, underwent similar problems in February 2018. Chillhop Records also runs a 24/7 live stream and, like ChilledCow, it used a GIF of a woman from an anime doing homework. The channel received a copyright strike from Studio Shizu for using its character from its feature film Wolf Children. 

 When ChilledCow’s channel went down, It sent a ripple effect through the fan base on Twitter and Discord. They started paying their respect and bemoaning the loss of their favorite"study girl ".Some pointed out that, after two years of studying, the girl in the video finally finished her homework.

But now, our favorite channel is coming back. I hope it will be forever on Youtube to attract more people into Lofi hip hop music.
